Inside Sales Representative - Toronto

Job Description
Buchanan Group Inc, one of North America’s most exciting advertising companies, dealing with the cream of the Consumer Packaged Goods market is looking for a dedicated individual with a passion for sales to apply for a position as an Inside Sales Representative
Based out of our Toronto office and reporting to the Business Development Manager the role will involve prospecting, targeting, and landing new accounts in the CPG, Financial and Telecom spheres. We are looking for someone who is a leading salesperson with a desire to take their career to the next level. If you have a proven track record in sales, this could be the opportunity for you! Depending on your abilities and interest, opportunity exists for growth and promotion within the company. In 12-18 months, a chance to progress to the Business Development Team.

Responsibilities

  • Lead generation
  • Identify and prospect new business opportunities
  • Explaining core properties and services with the goal of securing in-person meetings
  • Researching company profile data using the internet and various internal databases
  • Target calling lists, including outbound cold calls to warm leads as well as dormant accounts
  • Updating internal CRM system with relevant data on both prospects and customers

Skills & Qualifications
The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in marketing, advertising and sales, and will be highly motivated to succeed.  He/She will possess excellent communication and relationship-building skills, proactive selling techniques, objection handling and closing skills and strong probing and negotiation abilities. Ideal qualifications:

  • Post-secondary degree/diploma or a combination of education and experience
  • Self-motivated and enthusiastic
  • Excellent written and spoken English
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills
  • Ability to travel and work evenings/weekends when required (rare, but sometimes necessary)
  • Second-language skills an asset but not required

Admin / Sales Coordinator - Toronto

Job Description
Buchanan Group Inc, one of North America’s most exciting advertising companies, is looking for a dedicated individual with a passion to learn and develop new skills to apply for Admin / Sales Coordinator position.  Experience is beneficial but not essential.
The role will consist of a mixture of general office administrative duties and also supporting members of the sales team. Ideally the candidate will move into a full time sales role within 8-12 months of starting, but in the meantime will gain valuable experience by learning the business from the inside out. This is a great opportunity to be introduced to an exciting and dynamic company.  We want you to be part of a fun and dedicated team and have the chance to grow your skills by being exposed to various areas of the business.
Admin responsibilities vary widely and may include:

  • Assistant to President and Finance & Operations Manager
  • General Office Management; 
  • Organising Travel (flights, accommodation, car hire) for Sales Team; 
  • Collect and send documents to Head Office; 
  • Provide general office administrative support including: faxing, photocopying, mail sorting, drafting correspondence, notes and documentation
  • Troubleshoot issues and coordinate with appropriate support to resolve said issues
  • Various finance related duties (petty cash, expense reports, etc)

Sales responsibilities also vary widely and may include:

  • Maintaining CRM databases
  • Answering client questions and attending client meetings
  • Assisting Production in preparing for shoots and attending shoots on occasion
  • Prospecting new accounts and contacts
  • Administrative support for large accounts

Business Development Manager - Asia

Buchanan Group is an innovative company that develops unique, sales driving advertising tools for agencies and manufacturers - predominantly focusing on Fast Moving Consumer Goods. We are the company behind the internationally successful TV brands “Brand Power” and “Zoot Review” and operate in over 16 countries.

Due to expansion, we require people to join the team in Business Development working in the Asian market, servicing Malaysia, Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, Philippines and Hong Kong.

The role entails working with premium CPG/FMCG companies and their agencies. Whilst further developing the current client base, your role will be heavily weighted towards attracting new business – please understand this is a sales role. Developing new emerging markets will also be a focus within the first 2 years and identifying opportunities within Indonesia, Philippines, Thailand, Hong Kong and Vietnam will draw on your strategic business building skills and vision.

The person we are after is ideally from a sales or marketing background, university educated with an attitude that will see them “roll up their sleeves” to help get the job done whatever it takes.
